BWTH is a platform dedicated to increasing the presence of Black women in technology.
We aim to:
- Challenge the current lack of diversity in tech
- Create a supportive environment for Black women in tech
- Provide resources and networking opportunities
- Help Black women excel in tech careers

Pasima Sule
Executive Director & FounderPasima is CEO of Solid Rock Group, an internationally recognized management consulting and professional services’ firm that works with governments, organizations and private entities in North America and Africa. She is also an Executive Director, a Certified Coach, Speaker and Trainer with the John Maxwell Team. Prior to joining Solid Rock Group in 2018, Pasima spent 17 years in the oil and gas industry as project manager and project mentor for Chevron Corporation in the United States, Europe and Africa. Throughout her career, she has led multi-million-dollar projects involving multicultural teams from around the world while mentoring her peers. Pasima is passionate about capacity building and is committed to ensuring that women develop to their full potential and serve as leaders in all spheres of the society. Pasima is fluent in English, French and conversational Portuguese.

Axelle Nguedia
Tech Hub CoordinatorMs. Axelle Nguedia, BWTH Tech Hub Coordinator, brings a blend of cloud engineering (Avanade) and data analysis (Npower Canada) expertise to her role. Skilled in Azure, Python, and Agile methodologies, she is passionate about fostering a thriving tech hub environment and connecting with the community, leveraging prior customer service experience from Loblaw Companies Limited. Axelle Nguedia will ensure the smooth operation of the hub, fostering a supportive and connected community.

FRANKLIN BOUGUEP
Tech Hub ArchitectFranklin is a champion for women advancement and a big proponent of women rights, equity, diversity and inclusion. Franklin has extensive experience in business development, strategic management and partnership, and has worked in various industries, including international development and education. Over the past 20 years, he has held leading positions in various industries in North America, Europe and Africa. He is also an agile communicator who is fluent in English, French and conversational Portuguese.

Dr. Debbie Motilewa
PhD – Tech Hub AdvisorDr. Motilewa brings industry-leading expertise in AI/ML from Amazon Web Services to BWTH. Her entrepreneurial experience and academic background provide valuable insights for aspiring tech leaders. Dr. Motilewa's passion for education and social impact, demonstrated through her non-profit work, aligns with BWTH's mission to empower black women in tech. Her diverse experience in product management, academia, and social entrepreneurship makes her an ideal mentor for hub members exploring various tech career paths.

Dr. Ife Adebara
PhD – Tech Hub AdvisorDr. Adebara's pioneering work in Natural Language Processing for African languages brings innovative perspectives to BWTH. Her development of AI solutions for 517 African languages showcases the potential for diversity in tech innovation. As a recognized DE & I AI Leader and UNESCO Global Top 100 Outstanding AI recipient, she embodies BWTH's commitment to inclusion and excellence. Dr. Adebara's expertise in merging tech with cultural preservation inspires hub members to innovate while honoring their heritage.

Lenora Gobina
Social Media CoordinatorLenora Gobina's expertise in marketing and communications is crucial for amplifying BWTH's message. Her skills in content creation, social media campaigns, and event management will increase visibility for black women in tech and foster community connections. Lenora's international relations background brings a global perspective to the hub's outreach. Her versatility in copywriting and community engagement ensures BWTH's message resonates across platforms, attracting more black women to tech careers and showcasing their successes.
